ISTANBUL (AA) – Casper Ruud and Matteo Berrettini will face off in the US Open quarterfinals after progressing to the final eight on Sunday.

Norwegian Ruud defeated France’s Corentin Moutet 6-1, 6-2, 6-7, 6-2 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

The fifth seed will face 2019 semifinalist Berrettini, who overcame Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in five sets – 3-6, 7-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.

In the women’s singles, Caroline Garcia reached her maiden US Open quarterfinal after comfortably beating Alison Riske-Amritraj in straight sets of 6-4, 6-1.
